DESIGN OF CONCRETE STRUCTURES USING EUROCODES

20-21 September 2012, Vienna, Austria

The current European practice in structural engineering tends more to accept the benefits of using the Eurocodes for the design of Civil Engineering Structures.

The Third International Workshop focuses on application of all EN 1992, since these standards have been introduced and accepted as the national standard in many European countries and there already are practical experiences with its use.  The Organizing Committee expects creative discussion on the following subjects:

•    Maintenance of Eurocodes
•    National Standards and National Annexes
•    Design according to EN 1992
•    Experiences with (Practical) Application of EN 1992
•    Proposal for further Development
•    Proposal of Simplifications

The workshop topics will be upgraded on the applicants demand.  Recognized experts and specialists in design of concrete structure from all over Europe will participate, thus offering a unique opportunity to share their experience and acquired knowledge.

The workshop is organized in cooperation with FH Campus Wien (University of Applied Sciences Vienna), Austria, the Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic, and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia.
It is anticipated that the next Workshops will be held in Budapest.
